Who we are
Taveras Shoe Repair is a shoe shop in Harlem, New York. The counter at 227 W 145th St has spent years looking after the neighborhood's footwear — repairs, resoles, and the daily business of keeping good shoes on their feet — and taverasshoes.com brings the other half of that work online: a curated catalog of quality leather footwear, chosen by people who see every day what survives real wear and what does not.
What we sell
The catalog concentrates on leather and soft-finish footwear for men and women: penny loafers and derbies, Chelsea and zip-entry boots, monk shoes, low-top sneakers, slides and sandals. We favor construction we would be happy to see on our own repair bench — leather soles with rubber grip where the street meets the shoe, stacked heels, stitching that rewards a close look — in a palette built on browns, blacks and the occasional colour worth crossing the room for.

Doors are open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time, and closed on Sunday.
